Dandara springs into action to support Carway Primary School with garden project

Carway Primary School has received a donation of gardening kits from local housebuilder Dandara, who is building homes nearby at its Golwg Gwendraeth development in Carway.

The donation of gardening supplies, which includes a selection of tools, kneeling pads and gloves, will support the primary school’s development of its outside garden space, helping pupils to learn how to grow their own food and plant flowers to attract insects.

Elisa Davis, Assistant Headteacher at Carway Primary School, commented: “Aiming to teach pupils more about wildlife, our project will help the children to learn more about how to grow food and encourage a variety of insects to visit the garden as it comes to life. We’d like to thank Dandara for the donation of the gardening kits, as this will help us look after and potentially expand our garden.”

Sara Taylor, Sales Director at Dandara Wales & West, said: “We are pleased to support Carway Primary School, located nearby to Golwg Gwendraeth, with their outdoor learning. We hope all the pupils enjoy getting outside with their new equipment and learning lots about gardening, as having a green thumb is a very important skill!

The housebuilder is offering a range of incentives at Golwg Gwendraeth to help potential buyers get onto the property ladder including Help to Buy, Armed Forces discount and Dandara’s Moving Made Easy and Assisted Move schemes.

Wales Help to Buy scheme enables buyers to put down a 5% deposit on a home worth up to £300,000, with a 75% mortgage and 20% equity loan supplied by the Welsh government. Dandara’s Moving Made Easy scheme provides support in selling buyers current home, with the pay up to £5,000 of estate agent fees subject to terms and conditions.

Perfect for country lovers, Golwg Gwendraeth is close to tranquil walks and woodland areas such as Coed Ffos Las. A short drive away, the market town of Llanelli will provide residents with multiple supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and pubs.

Those who fancy a fun day out will not have to walk far as Ffos Las Racecourse is on the developments’ doorstep, and Glyn Abbey Golf Club is only half a mile away for a competitive game of golf.

Ideally located for travel around Wales, Golwg Gwendraeth has excellent transport links, including Llanelli railway station approximately a 12-minute drive away. For travel by road, the B4308 will take you straight into Llanelli in around 15 minutes.
